WESMEN CORRAL COUGARS
5th year guard and tournament All-star Sally Kaznica nailed a three-pointer with 2:17 left, giving the Wesmen a seven point cushion and propelling the home team to a 64-53 victory over Canada West rivals the Regina Cougars in the Converse Shootout tournament Sunday afternoon at the Duckworth Centre. Winnipeg found itself in 12-2 hole to start the game but climbed back into the contest, evening things up at 30-30 at the half. In the second frame a consistent Wesmen attack eventually wore the Cougars down.

Daniels was named Defensive Player of the Tournament for her efforts. 5th year guard Cymone Bouchard had 18 points for Regina and picked up the tournament MVP award as well.
