Wesmen Win Seven Medals To Open Up 2016-2017 Season

The University of Winnipeg Wesmen Men and Women Wrestling Teams captured seven medals in the first meet of the 2016-2017 season Saturday at the Calgary Dinos Invitational hosted by the University of Calgary.

On the men's side, Winnipeg won four medals (three gold and one silver). The women's team won a total of three bronze medals.

In varsity team competition, the Wesmen men's team finished in second place while the women's team placed fifth in the women's team standings.
