Andjelic Set To Join Women's Volleyball Program This Fall

The University of Winnipeg Wesmen and Women's Volleyball head coach Diane Scott are pleased to announce that Jessica Andjelic from Balmoral Hall School has committed to the Women's Volleyball program starting this September for the beginning of the 2017-2018 Canada West season.

Andjelic a 5'7" left side/libero was named the Blazers Most Valuable Player in grades 10 and 11. An accomplished club player, she played for the Vision Volleyball Club (grade 10) before moving on to the Cobras team for grades 11 and 12. In her grade 11 year her Cobras team won silver at the Provincial Championships, Andjelic was named to the All-Star team. She continued to find success with the Cobras in grade 12, finishing second at the Provincial Championships and fourth at the National Championships held this past May in Edmonton, Alberta.

She also was a member of the Provincial team program for two years (2014-2015) winning a bronze medal at the National Team Challenge Cup in 2015.

"Jessica Andjelic is a perfect piece to complete our athletic team puzzle. She brings a substantial resume of success and achievement, she is a gifted athlete and a warrior on the court. Jessica reminds me of former Wesmen standout Tia Boroski with her natural volleyball IQ and her dynamic ability on the court", said Diane Scott, Wesmen Women's Volleyball head coach.
