Emma Parker posted her second straight double-double Sunday as the Winnipeg Wesmen women's volleyball team closed out the Regina Cougars Invitational Tournament with a four-set loss to the Manitoba Bisons.

Parker, who had 14 kills and 20 digs in a five-setter with Alberta Saturday night, led the Wesmen with another 17 kills and 16 digs, but the Wesmen fell 3-1 (19-25, 25-21, 25-17, 25-21) in the finale of the three-day tournament in Regina.

Parker, the second-year outside hitter, was a major bright spot for the Wesmen, leading the team in kills in four of the five matches, including a career-high 23 on Friday night.

Kalena Schulz added 10 kills, four digs and an ace, while Jessica Friesen notched six kills, two stuff blocks and an ace. Freshman Kelysian Warmington had four kills, two stuffs and an ace.

The Wesmen will now turn their attention to their own tournament as they host the Unruh Realty Volleyball Challenge, which starts Friday at the Duckworth Centre.

Regina, Brandon and Moncton will be on hand for the three-day round-robin tournament.
