WESMEN NEWS FOR WEEK OF December 9 to December 15/2002

The four athletic teams at the University of Winnipeg are currently on exam break.

The No. 1 ranked Women’s basketball team returns to action on January 3rd & 5th when they play a home and home series with the Brandon Bobcats.

The No. 7 ranked Women’s Volleyball team’s next appearance is in Hogtown on January 3rd & 4th for the Toronto Invitational Tournament.

The No. 8 ranked Men’s Volleyball team starts the second half of the season at the Duckworth Centre on January 3rd & 4th, entertaining the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds in Canada West Conference play.

The Wesmen Men’s Basketball squad hit the hardwood again during the annual MTS Mobility Wesmen Classic from Dec. 27th – 30th.

36TH MTS MOBILITY WESMEN CLASSIC

Tournament passes are on sale in the Customer Service Centre (Main Level, Duckworth Centre 786-9349) until 5:00 p.m. Monday, December 23rd. The University of Winnipeg will re-open for the Classic at 9:00 a.m. on Friday December 27th. Tickets are available for purchase at the door during the tournament as well.
Tournament passes are $15.00, and valid for all 32 games. Day passes are available on game day only. Prices for day passes are as follows:

December 27 $4.00 (8 games – 4 high school, 4 community classic)
December 28 $6.00 (10 games – 4 university, 2 high school, 4 community classic)
December 29 $6.00 (7 games – 4 university, 2 high school, Junior varsity final)
December 30 $7.50 (7 games – 4 university, 3 high school)
