WESMEN LEAVE BISONS IN THE DUST

The Wesmen put some distance between themselves and the last place Bisons by beating Manitoba twice in a home and home series last week. On Thursday night at the U of M campus, 2nd year guard Aldin Smalling led the Wesmen attack with 24 points and 6 steals in the 76-68 Duckworth Challenge win. 5th year post Dan Duggan chipped in with 19 points and 7 boards. On Saturday night back at the Duckworth Centre, 1st year guard Erfan Nasajpour was 2 assists shy of a triple-double picking up 20 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists in the 72-58 win. Smalling added 16 and Duggan supplied 14 points and 10 rebounds as well. This weekend the 5-7 Wesmen travel to Regina to battle the 8-4 first place Regina Cougars.

COUGARS NO MATCH FOR WESMEN

The No. 7 ranked Wesmen made quick work of the Regina Cougars in Canada West Men’s Volleyball action on the weekend. CAN’T QUITE CATCH COUGARS

The No. 8 ranked Wesmen picked up a split against the No. 6 Regina Cougars in the Saskatchewan capital on the weekend. UNDEFEATED NO MORE!
