The Wesmen Pizza Place Male Player of the Week is:
Erfan Nasajpour, men’s basketball Erfan was named the MVP of the Midway Chrysler Invitational this past weekend. Erfan averaged 17 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists in helping leading the Wesmen to a perfect 2-0 record in the tournament.

The University of Winnipeg will be presenting the “ Dare to Dream” Breakfast Celebrating Women in Sport on Tuesday, December 7th, 2004 from 7:15 a.m. 8:30 a.m. at the Radisson Hotel Winnipeg Downtown 288 Portage Avenue. MEN’S BASKETBALL
The Wesmen put last weekend’s results behind them and put on an impressive show at this past weekends Midway Chrysler Invitational. The Wesmen came away with a perfect 2-0 record as they defeated Douglas College (72-58) on Friday and followed that up with an (88-71) win against Fraser Valley. Tony Richter and Matt Opalko were named tournament all-stars. Erfan Nasajpour was named the tournament MVP. The team will play this weekend in the University of Manitoba Invitational Tournament.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
Coach Tanya McKay and her team were busy practicing hard this week. The team will be in action this weekend against Memorial in a set of three exhibition games.
MEN’S VOLLEYBALL
The Men’s team has a very successful tour of Southern Manitoba. The Wesmen defeated the University of Regina in a pair of exhibition matches. On Tuesday in Glenboro the team won in three games (25-13, 28- 26, 25-18) and followed that up the next day in Brandon winning in three straight games ( 25-19, 25-21, 25-22). Coach Larry McKay and his squad will be hosting Dalhousie this weekend for a trio of exhibition games.
WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL
The Wesmen Women’s volleyball team will be starting their 2004-2005 regular season this week in Calgary. The team has been preparing for the season by participating in three tournaments and several exhibition matches.
